The Exorcist (Pougee's Original)-Uber Tristam/Dclone Guide (zeal/smite)

Hi all,

Dclone as you all know is the toughest boss kicking around the game and only walks the earth when a certain amount of SoJs are sold on a perticular server ip. I will not explain how to find him. This is purely a build to kill him quickely.

Idea:

I had a dclone hunter awhile back when i first started ladder and he wasnt that good but did the job. The best and i will stand by this dclone killer is a smiter. But i wanted to make one that was relatively cost effective and that did a good job with ease.

Guide:

Although i said smite is the best this build will be a Hybrid with using zeal. Depending where you spawn dclone there will be monsters around you, and smite isnt the best pack killer around so i put in there zeal to kill packs so you can have a more intament time with dclone

Skills:

Sacrifice: 1

Zeal: 20

Holy Bolt: 1

Blessed Hammer: 1

Smite: 20

Charge: 1

Holy Shield: 20

Might: 1

Blessed Aim: 1

Concentration: 1

Fanaticism: 20

Defiance: ~Rest

Total = 88

Stat Points:

Strenght: Base your strength according to your gear using +strength on items etc..

Dex: Enough for max blocking with Holyshield on and maxed

Vit: Anything thats left

Energy: 0

Gear:

Guillames Face (Um'd) (Oprhans Call set item)

Duress

Death Beserk Axe (Not Death Cleaver, its the runeword)

HoZ (Um'd)

SandStorm Treks

Dwarf Star, Raven Frost , Highlords Wrath

Laying of the Hands (The Disiples set item - Gloves)

Credendum (The Disiples set item - Belt)

On Switch:

Life Tap wand - CTA/Spirit (Use lifetap on dclone to replenish your life really quickly)

Charms:

Life/Resis charms

No Anni - It shouldnt be needed and you need to pickup your new annis somehow

Stats:

With this setup you idealy have everything you need to kill dclone. You want alot of Crushing Blow, its very vital in the defeat of dclone.

Crushing Blow = 100% (capped at 93% i believe)

Deadly Strike = 80% (This will only work with zeal)

From my current setup at level 75:

Zeal: 1388 - 4363

Smite: 1012 - 1293

Defense: 13570

Life: 2112 (with bo)

Conclusion

My gear selection might seem abit orthodox, but alot of it was purposly chosen to add +resis and +strenght. I based my strength at 80 with 75% blocking and rest into health i think its the only way to do things.

Only built this yesterday and yet to test times, once i do i will report back to you.

Pougee|||The skillplan is teh skillplan of a zmealot but for a zmealot u would go all sacrifice instead of defiance. Gear looks nice though.

include some important fact's about dclone that might help.

try putting on some normal gear and u have a zmealot guide too |||Hmm, I guess that last skill you want to max last is upto you. I reckon defiance is more important purely because i kill anything with one hit already. 4k + 80%ds = about 8k damage and ar isnt a problem. I see sacrafice as a waste. If you want to build a Zealot you should make a proper one. As the guid clearly points out this is built purely for Dclone ownage.|||Quote:

yea but i was actually pointing toward making a normal zmealot not a dclone killer with maxing sacrifice but anyways that ot |||

Time taken to kill Dclone: 28sec

I have to admit i was shocked, he dropped really quickly. Having a Lifetap wand makes you immuned to him.

Also do you have any advice on altering this build to help with the new triple boss quest?|||I know this is a DClone guide but i was also wondering how it would fair against pvm? Would he be able to handle its own? Just wondering. I was planning on making a pally. I was going to make a zeal paly but smite sounds good also. And what JooJoo said. And stupid questions... when to use Zeal and when to use Smite? And... why Defiance 20? I think ill use only Fanaticism.
