There are some new runewords and runes are easier to find, but the build remains the same. You can add Death or Grief as top tier weapons to aim for, and Fortitude for armor. I am in hell mode and came across my first P.I. And he crushed me. I need gear bad as I am wearing almost all sigons set,it is not working in hell mode. People want to much for gear, so am stuck, I think I picked the wrong spec, at this point I am not feady for hell mode, so what should I do? I do pretty good in nightmare mode just nowhere near ready for hell|||Physical immunes are a problem for Zealots. Reaper's Toll on a merc is a great solution if you can get it, or a Lawbringer runeword on switch works as well.
In general, Zealots (and most melee characters) don't do well until you get decent gear, much more so than casters. A Holy Freeze and/or Holy Shock Zealot can do well on a budget as they rely on auras for damage. Conviction + an elemental damage weapon (I'm quite partial to Gimmershred) are effective and cheap as well. In my opinion, if you can get a good elemental damage weapon, a Conviction Zealot is the best option until you can afford high end physical damage weapons. Very flexible with skill points and works great in a party. Of course, there is always the Hammerdin. Easy, boring, but very effective and a good mfer to gather items as well.
