Help me make up my future 1pt smiter

[:1]So here's what I think I want to have in the end for my smiter, when I become richer:

Helmet: Guillaume's Face w/ a 15IAS mod

Amulet: Metalgrid

Armor: Fortitude

Weapon: Grief PB

Shield: Exile, maybe without any resist mod

Belt: Verdungos

Gloves: Draculs Grasp

Ring 1: Raven Frost

Ring 2: Dwarf Star?

Boots: Gore Riders



What can go wrong with this build, if any? I want to definitely keep the Grief and Exile, I think. What can be switched out for something else that is better yet not worth tons of hrs?|||I see you are using the most popular set of items for invincible zealer...

Except metalgrid and dwarf star... Highlords wrath would be more useful than metalgrid and other ring should be rare with resists couse you will be very short on them if you intend to use shield without resists.

Also, why socket your helm with jewel of fervor? Using Grief PB will give you fastest speed. You should socket it with UM rune or rare jewel with resistances.

Everything else will work like swiss clock. I have exactly same character as yours with highlords and rare ring and it cuts through Hell difficulty like warm knife through butter.

For general questing you might want to have a plan for PI's. The venom on grief can help some but you cant count on it to handle every PI you encounter. And vengeance isnt much help either since because of the way it works it will pretty much only apply to the base damage of the phase blade which will be kinda sucky.

For bosses and Ubers/dclone and things like that I personally would want to use goblin toes for the xtra CB but as long as you can keep your resists up and have a reasonable amount of life you should be fine.

Oh and a little mana leech might be helpful as well.

Kaytie|||Why use highlords if a PB gives you max speed (or so I heard)?|||Your not really using the highlords for the increased attack speed so much as for the increased chance of deadly strike and of course for the nice boost to light resist that it provides as you will most likely be lacking on resists without a lot of charms to make it up, which is why amon recommended putting an um rune in your helm.|||Does deadly strike really matter that much for ubers? O_O|||No, and it doesn't affect Smite's damage. No amulet really improves a Smiter's performance that much (+2 skills helps a bit), so you might as well choose something that increases your Zeal damage and gives you some lightning res.

Your setup is fine, although I'd choose Um'd HoZ over Exile, especially if you're gonna make it in a shield without res.|||Here's my setup for ubers:

I sometimes have to drink 1 or 2 against Meph. Once he is down I switch out Metalgrid for Rising Sun so the fire of Diablo and his minions heals me.
