Rift Paladin. Need advice

[:1]So im making a Rift Paladin. Just need to get that cursed 4 sox Caddy

This is the setup im gonna use:

Nightwing 15%(With 5/5 cold facet)

Metalgrid 35%

Sacred Targe 4 sox 45 all res with 4x 5/5 coldfacet.

Trechery armor

Gore Riders

Dracs

Tgods

Dual leech ring

Ravenfrost

Anni

Torch



Skills:

20 zeal

20 sacrifice

17 Conviction(Will reach 25 with anni torch nightwing and 2 off skillers

1 Holy shield

Now this will be 67 skill points. What do i do with the rest? Holy shield? Or into resists to raise my max resist?

Also thought about using 4 sox armor with 5/5 cold facets and using Fana instead of Conviction. How does that sound?

Merc is gonna be an act 2 might merc with Rift Thresher Andys and Treachery. I thought about giving him a Nightwing to boost orb damage but that then he wouldnt have any LL. Could he survive with the lifetap from dracs only?

Regards Beltt|||You still need another 30 IAS to get to 4-frame Zeal, so dropping treachery is definitely out of the question. You could go for an amu like Cat's Eye or Highlord's and put an IAS jewel in your helm. Rift has no ED so you're not going to do enough physical damage to make Fanat worth it either.

Mercs should do fine in general with just LT, but with the tiny physical damage from Rift I'm not too sure...|||- first of all "get a jewelers sacred targe of deflection with @45 noob"

- i think u use gorerider for CB, other mods on gore is useless on riftadin. i suggest goblin toe for more CB

- always use conviction, else neither you nor your merc will do good dmg. fanat will not boost much

- i am not sure if dracs (LT) will be enough to leech nice. i suggest a few points in redemption. (i already put near 10 hardpoints on my riftadin)

- if you have that much skills left why not max FoH and synergies? i didnot try that but might work as you have many skills left.

- one thing i can say about riftadin is, he is fragile. cant leech much so need some DR stuff. fade is nice from treachery but not enough i guess.

- if 4fpa zeal is not the aim, go for 50IAS with a more defensive armor (res/highdef/dr/FHR). my riftadin uses gladiator's bane + Um (gooddef/FHR/DR/MDR/@res/CBF so another good ring instead of ravenfrost) / highlords (IAS/+1all/literes) / nosferatu coil (IAS/slow/str means vita) / lava gout (enchant/IAS/fireres/firedmg). you can put a IAS jewel on gladiators and swap nosferatu with StringoEars for more leech and DR/MDR.|||MUHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHA

I cant even imagine how many Hrs a JSToD with 45 res would cost............

Dont know how much ias im gonna aim for....

Mack. Could you post what items you use? Im not 100% sure about the Shield either. Maybe Grizwold is better?

You guys sure he wont be able to leech? Remember hes got might from merc and Zeal with Sacrifice...

Is it solely for breaking immunes?

AFAIK, -res is capped at -100 (or -150, i forgot).

how about putting your spare points in resist lightning, and using vengeance to kill CI's?|||my riftadin is a dual-dream one. so shield and helm is already reserved for dreams, also takes half of my skill points into holyshock synergies. i have 1pt zeal, some pts into HS, 10hardpoints into redemption.

gear: rift WS with +3conviction, dream sacred rondache, dream bone visage, highlords, gladiator's bane +um, nosferatu, natalyas boots, crafted CB glove, ravenfrost and some random ring with resist/str, inventory is offensive skillers, torch/anni, resist charms.

merc is kinda obsolete atm, uses gladiators bane, tombreaver+amn (used my riftadin for mf chaos runs), guillaumme

assuming running with conviction, for 5fpa with warscepter/caduceus you need 42IAS for 5fpa zeal and for 4fpa zeal you need 142IAS.

lvl 30 zeal (with lvl20sacrifice) + lvl30 fanat give you 396+543ed according to german calculator. lets make it 900ed and add 100from str/dex. so %1000 enhanceddmg you got. caduceus deals 37-43 dmg each hit so you will hit 370-430=400average physical leechable dmg. assuming %20LL (which is actually too high) you will leech 80 from a %100 draineffect monster. in hell some monsters have reduced draineffect so final value you leech is actually lower than 80.

having LT proc is a different story, i think your leech will become %100 on LT.

switch to conviction and %60 of your dmg goes away (and also your leech). if you are running with fanaticism then what is the idea of cold facets?

facets deal 31dmg average and with NW+F, 4F ST and 4F jeweler armor you will have 9F = %60cold/-45enemy/280colddmg. 280 boosted to around 400 with %cold. conviction makes the cold dmg 600 with each zeal. frozenorb's dmg is around 300 (boosted to 480 and further boosted to 900 with conviction). it is still very lower than a holy freeze paladin. also keep in mind that frozenorb has a ctc of %16 only.

conclusion, pure cold rift paladin has many flaws i would say. either use dual-dream or increase CB for main killer instead of physical dmg part.
