Long time poster here from another account which I'm trying to get access to (Blade) since I forgot the password and no longer utilize the email asscociated with it.

Anyways, most of my knowledge is from 1.06-1.10 patch. The days of Shaft+Shako+Stormshield+Silence weapon. If you PVP during those patches, you'll most likely know who I am!

Anyways, I've been doing some research/etc.. to find some updated quick guides but none seem to be relevant or provide updated information.

Any help would be great with D3 in the horizon, I wanted to get into the feel of the Diablo world once again.

9x 40+ pcombs and 10 x 20 life scs

is a pretty good gm setup.

if you're planning on sva-ing, gear is a whole different ball game.

If you can, can you please provide some vindi vs all gear as well. Would also like to see the new cookie-cutter builds (I've managed to amalgamate and test a few variants, but would like to see more possible builds and reasons why.)|||my build is private =p

but it mainly involves the ability to switch between 0/48/86fhr and a 75fcr switch without any over-investing in str or dex.

mainly, what you're shooting for is:

1. a res-stack setup

2. a 75fcr/86fhr setup against pnb necs

that's about it actually.|||Looks like nothing really changed with the exception of the new runewords and some skill synergies. In addition, seems like everyone utilizes Grief now, what happened to Silence?

Also, does Temple duels community still exist at least on US East? I'd love to bring this up again with some Old Vets, who hopefully still play

Since I haven't found any GM games (anyone know any channels/games on US East?), I've only been exposed to BM Pub games and noticed that I often use silence more than anything - I can definitely see it in a controlled environment.

I also notice that utilizing SS as a smiting shield is still pretty adequate to use, since it allows a lot of flexibility. Nevertheless, this is all based on BM Pub games experience.

Anyways, I just finished leveling up my zon now (ArcFleche) - so if anyone would like to duel either my zon or pally, hit me up ...will be making a hybrid soon as well.

Grief triples your smite damage. There is no other option for a weapon on pvp smiter.

SS doesn't come anywhere near the new runeword shields, namely spirit and exile. The damage reduced you lose from not using ss can be made up with other items.|||jack no one u know uses these forums anymore. if u wanna get in touch with me use the other site. i added u on bnet btw.|||Quote:

@ambid - I can agree to an extent regarding Grief for damage, however; there's certain skills from silence/other weapons which can actually be more beneficial versus +more damage. (I currently have multiple weapons in my repository and have tested each)

In regards to Exile, I agree it's a great shield but based on research - it's considered BM now and even back in the days. I would prefer to use an Up'd Herald.

I've been away for over 6+years and also been engaged in several dueling games in the past 2 weeks and strategies surely hasn't changed much - most games end up all vs me, considering most of my gear is just moderate at best, while applying GM rules.
