Please Help, Frost Zealot Weapon

[:1]I read the guide on frost zealots, but currently im stuck in act 2 nm with my old steel flail, and i dont know where i can find an io rune for black, so if anyone has sugestions of other weapons arround my level they would be greatly appreciated.

thanks|||anything fast works really... you don't really need something with HUGE physical damage...something like a coldsteel eye to slow your target, or the super fast ginthers rift. zakarum's hand is prolly the best option wiht ITD and +2 HF should suffice until you can use the ultimate runeword for a HF zealot... doom of course.|||thanks i found a generals tan do thingy now im trying to upgrade it|||Hehe, I used a non upped General's Tan Do Li Ga until about Act 4 Nightmare when I got a Nord's Tenderizer. Why does everyone think that DOOM is the ultimate weapon for a FROST ZEALOT? Do you people have a frosty? Or are you just spouting out knowledge that looks good on paper?

Of course DOOM looks good on paper...if you want to maximize your COLD damage. But what do you do with this set-up when you encounter CI's? I would suggest BEAST or Heaven's Light...these are more ultimate than DOOM, IMHO...and I have a lvl 91 FROST ZEALOT who has used both...I chose Heaven's Light. And from my experience, Heaven's Light sits in the upper eschelon of weapon choice for the FROST ZEALOT.

If you have a lot of crushing blow (Guillaumes+Goblin Toe), even a crushflange is going to be great. It will take you to 93% CB. The secret with a frost Zeally is that you can get a lot of physical damage from CB alone, and therefor you can focus on maximizing your cold damage.

Untill you can get one of the fast Elite-uniques, anything with fast or loads of CB will work if You optimize the rest of your gear for the CB.|||2 bers, 2 cold facets in a griz caddy...

Thanks Skalling for helping this guy. The only reason I had suggested Heaven's Light or something else with lots of CB on it rather than DOOM (not the ultimate weapon for a FROSTY, IMHO) is for the reason you listed above. Cold damage comes from +skill equipment. This is not too difficult to obtain even at LOW levels. CB comes on a variety of equipment as well and if one plays SMART they can acheive a high level of success with their frost zealot.

Case and point:

my 91 CRUSHINGCOLD-FROSTY, and NeXus's UBERCOLD-FROSTY.

Incidentally, I did beat a member of this forum's fanatic zealot in a duel with my frost zealot. Albeit it may have been a fluke...but it was a sign of good things to come (a PvP frosty?).
