base items for spirit?

my main char is a lvl 90 fishymancer with about 300% mf, and now im starting up a hammerdin aswell!



question : until I find the runes for uber runewords, would a spirit

sword/spirit shield combo be the next best choice? (after HOTO/Hoz) ?



and what are the BEST base items to put spirit in for this purpose?

Im thinking crystal sword+either a monarch or sacred rondache/targe with atleast 40 allres ?

I recommend Wizardspike + Akaran Rondache or Sacred Targe S-Shield (~45)

You can farm/mf Hell Cows or Chaos for better Akaran Rondache and Sacred Targe

For leveling try with Iratha-set *Underrated-set* + Suicide Branch / Shard / S-Sword + S-Shield &

There is no minimum. Some people have 5% block and they are happy. Max block is nice but you really need it in duels. For normal PvM it help you a little but is good resistances are more important.

Best option is spirit in 45@ ST. Low str req, max block. Then you can have 75% block. Sacred Rondache (not Arkan Rondache) is similar. Moreover elite shields have smite damage which let you kill Ubers.

Ref mods (@res) 40+ resistances can have all palladin shields (even normal targe) which are found from A3 NM to hell. They must have item level over 50.|||Check it out here -> http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp...nshields.shtml

It has all the shields with str requirements and stats, including chance to block.|||Most of the Elite and high-end Exceptional shields have very similar defense and blocking. Unless you're min-maxing for PvP, all that's important is that it has ~40 all res.

well PvP is out of the question, so block% on the shield itself is not that important at all , only that it has atleast ~40% allres?|||Quote:

It's slightly important, because you don't have to spend too many additional points into dexterity.

What hubb means is that in PvM you don't care if you spent and additional 20 points in dexterity and 20 less in vitality.
