Need Smiter Help plz

Never built a smiter before... only hammerdins mainly and a few necs...

What i want the smiter for:

Solo Chaos runs (hell ofc)

Solo Baal runs (hell ofc)

Ubers

occasionaly PVP (i dont want a gg smiter)... just one that wont get wrecked in PVP... i pvp for fun i dont go crazy over it and build characters JUST for it.

so... what should my stat/skill distribution be?

and what about my merc? what act merc in what difficulty and BEST gear?

What about charms? skiller GC's or Lifer SC's? (ofc i will be using some res SC's depending on my gear setup)

im looking for GOOD gear.

Budget: 90 Hr's (Ber/Jah)

also, should i keep some items in stash? like i'm already planning to keep a Grief PB and LW PB in stash... what else?|||I use both of these builds:

Arcane's guide has ton of useful smiter information but it focuses on smite as a main attack... This is a pvp guide but it will help your pvm build...

This is the actual build you may want to follow... It uses zeal to kill mobs of monsters and smite to take down bosses... Smite is painfully slow as a primary attack when clearing chaos...

How does IAS work? i know how FCR works but IAS?

so ive heard 2 sides of the story:

1) as long as you have fanact aura on, you dont need any additional IAS

2) you need 20 IAS w/ fanact aura to reach max frames...

so which is true if any?

atm: both of my weapons are phase blades (grief/last wish)... and my fanact is lvl 31|||With Grief you're fine, you'll just need 6 IAS anywhere on your equipment to reach the last Smite breakpoint with LW PB.

i just made the crappiest last wish pb... but i was thinking, do stats really matter on a lw PB? 340 ish ED with 62 CB

i mean LW is only really used for the CB, Fade, and Life tap...

but with my setup, im at 113% CB... so does it matter? or do ubers/bosses have some kind of CB reduction where I really need to get that 65% CB + Lw... (im assuming ED on LW is useless since it was never meant for raw dmg *i use my grief for that*)|||Quote:

PvM, no. As you said, its used for CB, Fade, and Life tap.

No, Ubers/bosses do not have a CB reducer in the sense that you mean. Anything past 100% isn't going to do anything.
