holy freeze doesn't work on act bosses?

It seems that durial, diablo, baal can't be frozen through holy freeze, though normal freeze slow them a bit.

ps. why did diabloii.net change to incgamers?|||Yep, HF doesn't work on them. I don't think that slow is less effective against act bosses, except maybe that the total amount of slowing you can apply might be less. There's a thread somewhere explaining it but I don't remember much.|||I thought holy freeze will always slow bosses.|||Holy Freeze does not slow down Act bosses (in all their incarnations) at all. Neither is its radial cold damage applied (although its weapon cold damage is).

Chill effectiveness determines how much a monster is slowed when cold length is applied. Act bosses have the following chill effectiveness:

Code:
ACT BOSS CHILL EFFECTIVENESS
Normal Nightmare Hell
-----------------------------------------
Andariel -25 -15 0
Duriel -20 -20 -20
Mephisto -25 -15 -10
Diablo -25 -15 -10
Baal -15 -15 -15

Diablo clone -10

Lilith 0
Uber Duriel -20
Uber Mephisto -10
Uber Diablo -10
Uber Baal -15

So Lilith and Andariel won't be slowed when cold length is applied either, and neither will uber Duriel, uber Diablo or uber Baal since they are normally immune to cold (Cold Resist 150%, 115% and 185% respectively). Surprisingly, its most effective against Duriel in Hell, applying -20 attack rate and velocity when chilled.

Chill effectiveness also restricts Holy Freeze: maximum chill effectiveness is -50, so level >11 HF will only apply maximum -50 attack rate and velocity. -25 chill effectiveness would restrict HF to -25 attack rate and velocity, while 0 chill effectiveness results in it not applying radial cold damage or slowing at all.
