first timer fighting ubers

hi, i have a lvl 93 hammerdin and i trying my best to solo uber. i have read lots of guides

This is my skill set

20 hammer

20 bless

20 vigor

20 concenc

1 charge

1 smite

17 holyshield

another stats in prereq

I wonder if my skill set can fight ubers

I thought of these items setup,any1 who are experienced can help to comment on them



helm-guillaumes (35%cb)

ammy - Metalgrid or Highlord's Wrath

weapon- black runeword (i wonder what weapon should i put into) (40%cb)

shield- Hoz

armour- Coh for fighting uber, enigma for hunting keys

glove- Dracul’s Grasp

rings- Dwarf Star + raven frost ( i thinking whisp is good, but i dun have it...)

belt- t-god or nosferatu coil

boots- goblin's toe or gore rider ( i wonder why ppl recommend gore instead of goblin, because of ow?)

on switch= cta (2,6,6) and spirit shield + a wand with lvl 6 life tap 100++charge

is this setup viable?|||it should work just fine, you might want to have a point in salvation for then you're fighting meph, not sure if the coh + hoz will put you out of danger. Or alternatively, use a "treachery" armor to prebuff fade (equip it, enter the portal to trist and walk straight up till you see the small fire. stand in it till you are translucent, that means fade is active. when it happens, go back to town, heal up and equip your CoH)

Make your "black" in a flail and use highlords, that way your smite speed will be acceptable considering you have other IAS gear. Since speed IS an issue and you want at least 60% IAS, I would advise you to go with the Nosferatu's and socket your guillaume's with a 15% IAS jewel. That way you will have 15%(helm) + 15% (weapon) + 20% (amulet) + 10% (belt) reaching the 60% you need. Any slower than that and you might not hit with smite often enough to keep yourself alive.

As for your boots, go with gores all the way. People recommend it for a number of reasons, OW being one of them, but you have to understand that having 100% crushing blow is not a necessity. since you have guillaume's (35%), and black (40%), going with gores will give you another 15% which adds up to 90%, way more than what you need. Just for you to have an idea, most people go with 50% and do just fine.

Those are my suggestions with the gear you provided. if you can change your gear around, I would really recommend getting a "grief" phase blade, as that isn't much expensive these days (what does a Lo rune go for on ladder? If you can afford Ber for a Coh, you can most certainly afford Lo for a grief) and it's absolutely devastating. If you can afford a grief phaseblade (pretty much any will do, and ones with lower rolls on the variable modifiers will go for cheap) post here again so we can tweak your gear a little more.
