I always aim to have 300 lightning res, that way under meph's aura I'll still resist 75 lighting as most of his attacks are lightning.

I'm guessing you're smiting?

Exile is clearly the best as it's anywhere from 0-45 reses (auto mod on base) and let's you wear whatever gloves you wanted, whilst safely smiting with an etheral weapon.

Sanctuary if you really needed the reses (100+ on a shield).

Upped Zaka is the cheaper option, but by no means bad, they add reses and skills and do decent enough damage. It does force you to wear dracs though for lifetap.

If meph is really bothering you, equip Tgod's Vigor and overres lightning (easy enough to do with a decent pala shield, Chains, and some charms), that way you'll have 85 lightning res + 20 lightning absorb when under his spell.

Edit: Another note on reses, the anya quest was bugged (I saw 'was' as I'm unsure if they fixed it) that when you die you lose the reses anya Q grants but they still show up on the LCS, as such I never use that 30 in calculating how over resistive I am.|||yup, smite

Uhmmm i'll see what i can do..since i'm not sure of what wep to use...but i see the best ones are Grief and Death, both expensive (for me) so idk if i can afford exile..might go with sanctuary+dracul's|||if you want a cheaper equipment that can go the job use stormlash with a shael in ed doesnt matter look for a close to 9labs ( do the job quite nice )

also a cheap shield is griswolds with 3xpdias or ever a plain 45res shield with 4xpdias

dracs+exile is not useless +5% for LT is nice to have (triggers LT faster so is safer)|||Grief is the best one (some smiters use last wish too).

Cheaper options are heavens light or Asteons Iron Wand or the totally free Black flail.

Dracs and Exile together arn't useless just redundant, with the smite breakpoint you should be swinging 6 times a second (I think, not to sure on smite breakpoints). Seeing as exile has 15% chance to cast lifetap it alone is enough to get lifetap going off regularly, but there is no harm to wearing both of them.|||Ok thnx for advice...i'll try to get the cheaper stuff i need atm, then i'll see what i got left...might go for stormlash instead of other weps, so i'll have the money for Exile

Not useless, but kinda pointless. Life Tap will proc more quickly if you wear both but it's not really necessary. I'm not sure why Exile is so great, as the only thing you get is a whole load of defense and the freedom to use (presumably) some crafted gloves or something.

The easiest/cheapest way to up your res would be Dracs with HoZ or Sanctuary. Whatever you choose the difference is fairly marginal, especially if you've got Grief.|||Quote:

uhm nice then, since i already got HoZ ( even if i'd prefer Sanctaury..more res, is it usefull? )

I'll have to work to get grief xD|||a pretty cheap setup that do the job easily and safe would be stormlash(shael)/guilis(um)/duress/hoz(pdia)or sanctuary/maras/RF/wisp/gores/dracs/TG and full of res life scs +anni with high res|||well this is what i will probabily wear:

Ravenfrost+Nice rare ring (res+other stuff)

Mara's

Sanctuary or HoZ

Gore riders

Dracul's

Verdungo's Belt

Maybe Grief, if not, Stormlash
